Yes – we have a Text Chat facility:

1. To bring up the “Text Chat” menu press and hold the left hand shoulder button and scroll up/down until “Text Chat” is highlighted.
2. Release the left hand shoulder button. The “Text Chat” screen will appear.


3. Now you can have an Instant Message (IM) conversation with a contact. To do this press the X button to select “Invite Contact”.
4. A list will appear showing your contacts who are online.
5. Scroll up/down to select the contact you want to talk to and press the X button.


6. The contact’s nickname along with yours will now appear on the top right corner of the screen.



Note: You can only invite one contact into an IM chat. If you want to quit, or you selected the wrong contact. Select “Leave Chat” and press the X button.

7. To start the chat select “Type Message” and press X. The keyboard appears at the bottom of the screen.


8. You use the keyboard to type your message and the conversation appears in the top left window on the screen.
9. When you have typed in your message select the keyboard’s “Enter” button and press X.
10. The message will appear in the conversation window.
11. You can use the analog stick to scroll through the text chat history window.

Note: When you send your first message your contact will get a white speech bubble at the top of their screen, an audio confirmation and a message will appear in the ticker bar at the bottom of the screen.
